ANALISIS FAKTOR KOMPETENSI SOFT SKILLS MAHASISWA YANG DIBUTUHKAN DUNIA KERJA BERDASARKAN PERSEPSI MANAJER DAN HRD PERUSAHAAN

Abstract. Soft skills needed by today’s world is still not well identified. This can be seen in the data from the study Ruben and De Angelis (1998), NACE Survey USA (2002) and Sharma (2009) in which the variation is still very wide, about six dozen variables that soft skills can still be reclassified. In addition, there are gaps between the soft skills desired by the company and supplied by the college. Given these problems, the study aims to know the variables of soft skills needed what the world of work and to be provided by the college. Sharma (2009) mentions soft skills that should be acquired and possessed such skills should communicate (communicative skills), thinking and problem solving skills (thinking skills and problem solving skills), the power of teamwork (team work force), lifelong learning and information management (life-long learning and Information Management), business skills (entrepreneurial skills), ethics, moral and professionalism (ethics, moral and professionalism), and leadership skills (leadership skills). Number of questionnaires sent 1000 pieces to Human Resource Department Head and or user in global companies in Java-Indonesia. The number of questionnaires returned 217 pieces, and the numbers eligible data 181 sheets. The analytical method used is the method of factor analysis. The results showed there were sixteen factors student’s soft skills competencies required by the world of work based on the perception of the HR managers and multinational corporations in Java, namely: 1) entrepreneurial leadership skills, 2) oral communication skills, 3) the ability of communicating ideas effectively in teams, 4) leadership in problem solving (problem solving), 5) thinking skills and solve problems and communicate, 6) an empathic and positive behavior, 7) organizational commitment, 8) in team leadership skills, 9) make a proposal of business skills , 10) of non-verbal communication skills, 11) provide skills training, coach, Encourage the team, 12) with the entrepreneurial ethic and positive attitudes, 13) professionalism in work, 14) the skills to respond well, 15) communicating skills oral, and 16) in team work skills and delegation skills.
